Among Mists of Dream, Verboids, and a Mirror: Xavier Villaurrutia's "Nocturno de la Estatua"
Abstract
This essay explores the relationship between Xavier Villaurrutia and Agustín Lazo to analyze "Nocturno de la estatua". The oneiric and surreal poem uses verboids and repetitions to create an ethereal, timeless atmosphere. It discusses possible interpretations of the statue, such as the poet's feminine side or Death, and analyzes the poem's final dilogy.Downloads
