Carnival and Holy Week: Fandango or retreat?
Abstract
Taken from Ignacio Manuel Altamirano, Antonio García Cubas and Luis González Obregón’s important chronicles, this paper will make a journey through the Carnival and Holy Week in Mexico during the 19th century. Among those remembered events I will deal with processions and how the life and dwellers changed during those religious celebrations.Downloads
