La diplomacia itinerante: del pacto de familia al congreso americano de Lima (1831-1848)
Abstract
El presente artículo estudia el ciclo diplomático hispanoamericano comprendidoentre el Congreso de Panamá (1826) y el Congreso americano de Lima (1847- 1848), principalmente las iniciativas confederativas lideradas por México y Perú y que se realizaron por medio de embajadas itinerantes. El propósito primordial del trabajo es la clarificación de tres aspectos poco conocidos de la historia de la integración latinoamericana: el influjo del Congreso anfictiónico convocado por Simón Bolívar sobre las estrategias internacionales de la primera mitad del siglo XIX, los factores comunes del fracaso de las iniciativas anfictiónicas y la persistencia del movimiento unionista a lo largo de los primeros cincuenta años de Independencia.Downloads
