The advisor-advised relationship in a postgraduate thesis: the state of the art and the task of the thesis advisor
Abstract
The state of the question, also known as the state of the art, could be considered as the gateway to a research paper. And, although it is true that the choice of a research topic should be taken more properly as such, the selection and evaluation of sources, as well as the results on the topic raised, which indicate the initial moment of the investigation regarding said topic, have a fundamental value for the subsequent design of the researcher and, therefore, for the trajectory and the final result of the work. Such inquiry not only determines the first steps in the construction of the theoretical-conceptual framework, which will delimit the analysis proposals chosen for the investigation, but it will mean marking the scope and expectations of the researcher; but, also, the limits of the thesis advisor's intervention in the thesis student's work.Downloads
