Abstract

A question arises when reading the articles compiled by Roger Bartra in The Anatomy of the Mexican: where and how do these authors stand when confronted by their characterizations of the Mexican individual? This essay explores that mysterious place and sets out to unveil the concept that the building of identities can be thought of as the Creole intellectual’s viewing of this own reflection un a game of mirrors.
