Writing and subjectivation: Identity configuration in El libro vacío by Josefina Vicens
Abstract
The narrator’s subjectivation process is analyzed in El libro vacío by Josefina Vicens. Throughout the notes of the fictional diary that make up the novel, the modeling of the writing that José García sets in motion is followed from the dilemma of the writer called and that same time prevented from carrying out his work, especially, as long as it is configured in parallel the identity of the subject who writes. From the subjective turn and beyond the individual’s fading that has been noticed under an existentialist reading of the work, it is proposed to address the configuration of identity that is implicit in writing as a way of structuring one’s life.Downloads
