Abstract

A reading from the angle of historiography, understood as a search for historical truth, which tracks the patterns of rigor, interpretive licenses, and sense of history observable in Anthony McCarten's work dedicated to "the darkest hours" of Winston Churchill, and the way in which his oratory skills guided, according to the writer, the course of the world.
