Alejandro Arango y Escandón. A Forgotten Writer of the 19th Century Mexican Literature.
Abstract
Alejandro Arango y Escandón is an author forgotten by the historians of the Mexican Literature id the 19th century. Nevertheless, Arango's role in the literature and culture of his time was not unnoticed by his contemporary critics be it in Mexico or Spain. Among them, Marcelino Menendez y Pelayo from the iberic peninsula and, in our country, Francisco Pimentel ex Conde de Heras who perhaps wrote the most diligent and accurate analysis of the poetic work of Arango y Escandón.Downloads
