The main interest of the present paper is to analyze how an historical fact or event is converted in literature and what resources does literature use to present a fact in a new way of discourse. I am going to touch four different autjors, Guillermo Cabrera Infante, Peter  Weiss, Octavio Paz and Leonardo Padura. Among these writers are to be found different motivations  for writing on this topic.
