Abstract

This article uses bibliographic evidence as a way to quantify the role that women printers, as well as widows and daughters for men printers, played in the production, distribution and circulation of printed texts during the 18th century and whose work instrumental in the creation of family printing shops. The article speaks of the large number of texts and topics, but also of the authors' diverse backgrounds, all of which provides evidence of their role in the cultural development of the XVIII Novohispano, especially in Mexico.
