Abstract

The rapid decline of indigenous languages in Mexico demands a detaileddiagnosis of critical situation. The persistence of prejudice and discrimination inhibit the use of the Nahuatl language in bilingual speakersof Guerrero, who adopt a dual approach, first, defend the indigenous lenguage, on the other, assume the same prejudices against it. Such attitudes are identidied by different tests.
