Los choles de Chiapas y su camino a utopía
Abstract
En este ensayo pretendo demostrar que las comunidades choles de la zona norte de Chiapas, municipios de Tila y Sabanilla, principalmente, en su proyecto de vivir en armonía con sus semejantes y con la naturaleza, caminan por senderos que conducen a formas de convivencia no muy lejanas del "sí lugar". Los choles comulgan con la tierra y, entre otros beneficios, promueven la germinación del maíz, sustento de dioses y mortales. Mediante un breve repaso, reviso dos utopías latinoamericanas: Vasco de Quiroga y su Utopía mexicana y el proyecto utópico de los jesuitas en Paraguay, y una nota sobre la organización política queswaymara. En la parte medular del trabajo, analizo el vínculo de varias comunidades choles y su reto por alcanzar ese “sí lugar” o, como bien dice el epígrafe, cumplir con las tareas para que el mundo (sea) bueno y hacer puentes de luz y de color que nacen el mudo nuevo.Downloads
