Modernización y secularización : la ciudad de México en el porfiriato (1876-1911)
Abstract
El estudio del proceso de secularización en la historia de México puede ser abordado por diversos caminos. En este articulo nos limitamos a dos aspectos. El primero tiene que ver con la conformación de un espacio urbano secular, es decir el modelo en que se quería convertir a la ciudad de México con qué fines y con qué resultados. El segundo se relaciona con los medios de transmisión del discurso secular: la educación formal, la prensa y los rituales cívicos; y contempla, para terminar, las nuevas formas de sociabilidad que asumieron al anticlericalismo como una de sus posiciones identitarias. En ambas partes nos interesaron los valores y modelos éticos que promovían.Downloads
