A look from the psychoanalytic literary critique to “The Horla” by Guy de Maupassant
Abstract
The story “The Horla” is one of the texts that reflects, in a more evident way, which are the constant topics that Guy de Maupassant refers to in his literary work, and that they are a reflection in the psyche and construction of his characters. It will be through auto-criticism (literary theory that arouse during the 20th Century), that the nature of the ghosts and obsessions of this author will be determined, and thus manifested in “The Horla” and some other tales.Downloads
