Enoch Cancino Casahonda: Poetry and Everyday Life

Keywords: Poetry, Daily life, Enoch Cancino

Abstract

Enoch Cancino Casahonda's poetry is deeply connected to everyday life and human experience. Cancino stated that his sole inspiration was life itself. His introspective work transforms insignificant moments into something transcendental, reflecting changes in his hometown and a sense of nostalgia. His poetry is linked to autofiction, as he intertwines his personal experiences with fictional elements. This is evident in poems about loneliness and the search for inner peace. The poet creates the image of an artist who perseveres despite criticism, and he uses everyday events, such as a work accident, to reflect on universal themes like life and death. Despite the popularity of "Canto a Chiapas," his body of work is distinguished by its exploration of the intimate.
