The Mexican Musical Revue Theater and its Contributions to Popular Music
Abstract
This article explores the relationships between Mexican revue theater and the production and dissemination of popular songs during the first half of the twentieth century. It examines how these songs, originating on the theatrical stage, became part of the country's musical repertoire through radio broadcasting and social events.Downloads
