Talpa: Chased by Remorse
Abstract
This work draws attention to some notable aspects of Juan Rulfo’s narrative. The observations focus on the story “Talpa”, where the bite of remorse condemns the characters, deepening the pain of their existence. Likewise, the relentless forces of their circumstances compel them to transgressive union and the anguish of sin due to a severe offense. Similarly, a brief review of what the Cristero movement (1926-1929) meant to the author is made, as well as short observations of the publications where the stories from El Llano en Llamas were published.Downloads
