Totalitarianism Ends with Spring: Transdisciplinary Reading of The Unbearable Lightness of Being
Abstract
The link between literature and law is analyzed from the work of Milan Kundera, The Unbearable Lightness of Being. The author’s postulates on totalitarianism and the Prague Spring are studied through a critical look at the role of art in the face of these phenomena and the claim of domination of artistic manifestations in these socio-historical contexts. Likewise, it nourishes the theoretical approach with the experiential context of Kundera and its strong opposition to the political reduction of all the issues of the daily and artistic world. The defense of literature as a form of free expression and cultural manifestation allows unraveling some identity traits of the author and the echo of these in his work.Downloads
