Viejos y nuevos problemas en torno a la biografía histórica
Resumen
En este artículo, escrito desde el mirador de la historia, se revisitan textos canónicos de Virginia Woolf, Stephan Zweig, Rolland Bartres, Pierre Bordieu, Niegel Hamiliton y Jo Burr Margadant para establecer puntos de referencia mínimos, pequeñas ventanas desde las cuales asomarse a la muy amplia y diversa producción de biografías que caracteriza la historiografía de los siglos XX y XXI. En el primer apartado con Woolf y Zweig se recobra un viejo debate: la biografía es una rama de la literatura o de la historia; en el segundo, se recuperan las propuestas de Barthes acerca de la imposibilidad de este género; en el tercero, se sintetizan los principales motivos que ofrecen los defensores de la biografía histórica académica que explican su revaloración actual; en el último apartado se señala la necesidad de profundizar el diálogo entre las disciplinas que confluyen en la biografía.Descargas
