Abstract
En su Ensayo Político sobre el Reino de la Nueva España, Alejandro von Humboldt describe su estancia en esta Colonia y su fructífero viaje de investigación científica que duró casi un año. Su mirada, su apreciación personal, preceden siempre a la investigación científica que usa para comprobar lo que afirma. A pesar de estar lleno de cifras, datos científicos, mediciones y cálculos, el Ensayo, de Alejandro de Humboldt resulta ameno e interesante, ya que su autor hace constantes comparaciones con lo “conocido” tanto para él como para sus posibles lectores europeos. Así es como el Barón recoge sus impresiones y describe lo que él encontró en este reino.Downloads
