Linguistic and Cultural Diversity of “Francophony” in a French as a Foreign Language class: myth or reality?
Abstract
In this article, we will try to show how, in spite of the declarations of the authors of the textbook “Latitudes” about how, in addition to the linguistic knowledges, the student will discover “the sociocultural realities of France and of Francophony”, we will not have the results expected of that new introduction of linguistic and cultural diversity of Francophony in teaching French as a Foreign Language. Based on a few critical examples we will propose a few guidelines to improve a better approach of the subject.Downloads
