Español The Impossible Future:Contemporary Mexican Science Fiction Short Stories
Abstract
Contemporary science fiction has stopped dealing with the future to problematize, instead, issues that concern the immediate present. Pandemics, global warming, political tensions and the scope of digital storage media are recurrent subjects in this narrative. To understand exactly how this new perspective operates in science fiction, five short stories by Mexican writers -published from the 1980s to date- will be studied.Downloads
