Entre el arraigo y la diáspora (una mirada a la literatura haitiana en francés)
Abstract
Al asomarnos a la literatura haitiana nos damos cuenta de que, al igual que la historia de la isla, sus raíces se hunden en un pasado cuyas principales páginas han sido escritas en medio de la violencia y en las que la presencia extranjera ha jugado un papel determinante. La vocación por la libertad y la necesidad de construir un destino propio se manifiestan desde los primeros brotes de rebeldía encabezados por los esclavos negros; pero, a pesar de haber alcanzado la independencia en 1804, los marcos de referencia en los que se inscribieron las incipientes manifestaciones literarias estuvieron determinados por un Otro ajeno a la identidad auténtica del pueblo haitiano. Una rápida revisión de los principales hitos en la historia de Haití nos permitirá contextualizar mejor las razones y el precio de ese dilema, así como la huella que este destino ha dejado en la producción literaria.Downloads
