Renew or die! Analysis of the Possibility Conditions for the Emergence of Contemporary Historiographic Currents
Abstract
The objective of this work is to carry out an analysis and explain the possible causes of emergence of contemporary historiographical currents. Based on some texts, which were revised and which focus on the explanation of the emergence of these new historiographical currents, such as: Peter Burke and Jaume Aurell, David Cannadine, Roger Chartier, François Dosse, Guillermo Zermeño, among others, three conditions of possibility for the emergence of these new currents have been visualized and proposed. In the first place, the theoretical question, then the epistemological question and, thirdly, the social context, which came to bring a so-called "Cultural Turn" to the way of constructing the historical past.Downloads
